You’ve argued for the train, then remember the station is closed. 话又说回来 brings the conversation back to a point that changes the picture. X也不是，不X也不是 describes being stuck between choices; X也好/也罢，Y也好/也罢 accepts either one.
我在电视上看到过他，不过没有看到过他本人。
wǒ zài diànshì shàng kàndào guò tā， bùguò méiyǒu kàndào guò tā běnrén。
I have seen him on TV but not in the flesh.
你们的计划很好，可是我的更好。
nǐmen de jìhuà hěn hǎo， kěshì wǒ de gèng hǎo。
