Back and Forth, Then a Change例 · 他们没来这里

They searched the room 来来回回, and halfway through, the lights went out. A来A去 gives a back-and-forth action; A着A着 can show a change during an ongoing one. 没A没B pairs two absent things, with the surrounding sentence setting the tone.
