One Here, One There例 · 为了找个好位子
One light here, one light there; one person from the east, another from the west. A一+measure word and 东一A、西一A give a scattered or repeated feel. 为了……而…… is more orderly: it states the purpose behind an action, especially in written explanations.
为了找个好位子，我很早就出门了。
wèile zhǎo yí ge hǎo wèizi， wǒ hěn zǎo jiù chūmén le。
I left home early to get a good seat.
一是我的。
yī shì wǒ de。
Number one is mine.
你也许不会记得，而我永远不会忘记。
nǐ yěxǔ bù huì jìde， ér wǒ yǒngyuǎn bù huì wàngjì。
You may not remember, but I’ll never forget.
