Add One Thought Inside Another 复句

“Because the train was delayed and the rain started, we took a taxi.” A longer sentence can carry several links: reason, added detail, result. Follow each connection in turn, then listen for the main point the whole sentence is building toward.

因为路上堵车,所以我迟到了,老师已经开始上课了。
yīnwèi lùshang dǔchē, suǒyǐ wǒ chídào le, lǎoshī yǐjīng kāishǐ shàngkè le.
Because there was traffic, I arrived late, and the teacher had already started class.
我早就到了,但是朋友还在路上,我们只好先找个地方坐下。
wǒ zǎo jiù dào le, dànshì péngyou hái zài lùshang, wǒmen zhǐhǎo xiān zhǎo ge dìfang zuòxia.
I got here ages ago, but my friend is still on the way, so we’ll find somewhere to sit first.
车票已经买好了,酒店也订好了,所以我们明天可以安心出发。
chēpiào yǐjīng mǎi hǎo le, jiǔdiàn yě dìng hǎo le, suǒyǐ wǒmen míngtiān kěyǐ ānxīn chūfā.
The tickets are bought and the hotel is booked, so we can set off without worrying tomorrow.
Hint · 힌트
The first example nests a reason-and-result pair before adding what happened next. In the second, a contrast leads into the decision that follows. Group the ideas by their relationship as you read; a long sentence is easier to follow when you track each link.
