That Was the Right Call 是...的
Your team is debating whether to cancel an outdoor event because of the storm. You agree with the decision and want to make that judgment clear: 取消活动是对的. Putting 是……的 around the evaluation gives it a settled, emphatic feel.
取消活动是对的。
qǔxiāo huódòng shì duì de.
Canceling the event was the right thing to do.
你先问清楚是有必要的。
nǐ xiān wèn qīngchu shì yǒu bìyào de.
It was necessary for you to ask and make sure first.
他一个人完成这么多工作是不容易的。
tā yí ge rén wánchéng zhème duō gōngzuò shì bù róngyì de.
It isn’t easy for him to finish so much work alone.
这次失败是可以理解的，大家别怪她。
zhè cì shībài shì kěyǐ lǐjiě de, dàjiā bié guài tā.
This failure is understandable; don’t blame her.
