The More You Practice, the Easier It Gets

The more you practice, the less you have to think about every word. Use 越……越…… when one change goes along with another. For a vivid comparison, 像……一样 means “like…” or “as…as.”

nǐ yuè liànxí, shuō Zhōngwén jiù yuè zìrán.
The more you practice, the more naturally you speak Chinese.
tiānqì yuè lěng, wǒ yuè xiǎng hē rè chá.
The colder the weather gets, the more I want hot tea.
tā pǎo de xiàng tùzi yíyàng kuài.
He runs as fast as a rabbit.
zhè ge háizi xiàng bàba yíyàng ài kàn shū.
This child loves reading just like his dad.
Hint · 힌트
越……越…… links two changes (“the more…, the more…”). 像……一样 compares one thing with another. If the comparison is about how an action is done, place the quality before 一样: 跑得像兔子一样快.
In Real Life
越…… apart: 天气越来越冷 says the weather keeps getting colder; 天气越冷,我越想喝热茶 links two changes—the colder it gets, the more I want tea.
