Besides That 除了…以外
“Apart from Monday, I’m free any day.” “Besides coffee, we also have tea.” Besides-style phrases can include or exclude the named item; the next words, like 还 or 都, tell you which reading is intended. 从……起 marks when something begins, while 对……来说 frames a view from one person’s perspective.
除了雨天，我都是骑车去上班的。
chúle yǔtiān， wǒ dōu shì qíchē qù shàngbān de。
I ride to work except on rainy days.
