A Tendency, a Risk, and Something Worth It 傾向がある・恐れがある・に値する

Formal Japanese often avoids absolute claims. 傾向がある describes a noticeable tendency, 恐れがある and かねない warn of possible negative outcomes, 幸いなことに introduces a fortunate circumstance, and に値する says something deserves attention or recognition. 何より expresses that something is above all especially valued.

傾向がある presents a general pattern based on observation, rather than a rule that always applies. It follows a plain clause, often in reports or analysis.

恐れがある signals a likely or concerning possibility. It is common in notices and news, and usually points to an undesirable result. かねない also warns that a result could happen, often when describing a risky action: 無理をすると事故になりかねない, “pushing too hard could lead to an accident.” Use 可能性がある for a neutral possibility.

に値する means “to be worthy of” or “to deserve.” It follows a noun; the related pattern に値する can also follow a verb in dictionary form. 何より highlights what matters most to the speaker, while 幸いなことに marks a fortunate situation.

In Real Life
A cautious report might say 利用者が減る傾向がある, “there is a tendency for users to decrease,” then note a risk with 混乱が起きる恐れがある. These phrases help distinguish observed direction from a possible unwanted outcome.
Hint · 힌트
傾向 is a trend, 恐れ is a warning, に値する is an evaluation, 幸いなことに introduces good luck, and 何より ranks something as most important. Keep 恐れがある for risks rather than everyday neutral guesses.
