It’s getting late, so you suggest taking a taxi: 늦었으니까 택시를 타요. -니까 introduces a reason and can lead into a suggestion or command. That’s one useful difference from -아서/어서.
oneureun bappeunikka naeil mannayo.
Since I am busy today, let's meet tomorrow.
Hint · 힌트
This is the reason-connector -아서/어서 promised you. -아서/어서 can’t sit in front of a command like -세요 or a suggestion; -(으)니까 is built for exactly that job. 추우니까 창문을 닫아 주세요 wouldn’t work with -아서/어서 dropped into the same slot.
chuunikka changmuneul dada juseyo.
It's cold, so please close the window.
nalssiga joeunikka sanchaekhaeyo.
The weather is nice, so let's take a walk.
i sikdangi masisseunikka yeogiro gayo.
Since this restaurant is delicious, let's go here.
sigani eopseunikka taeksireul tayo.
We don't have time, so let's take a taxi.
pigonhanikka puk swiseyo.
You're tired, so rest well.
Hint · 힌트
-아서/어서 tends to state a plain, fact-based cause. -(으)니까 carries a more subjective, persuasive edge, closer to “given that…” than a flat “because.” It’s the reason you offer right before asking for something or proposing a plan, which is exactly why it pairs so naturally with commands and suggestions.
