Getting Ready for the Games, Sharing the Work に向けて・に応えて・任せる
These patterns describe how action is directed between people and goals. に向かって marks movement toward a physical destination or target; に向けて often focuses on preparing or directing effort toward a future goal. に応えて means responding to a request, need, or expectation. XをYに任せる means entrusting X to Y, leaving the responsibility or decision with them.
に向けて points to an intended goal or audience and often appears with preparation, effort, or a message. に向かって can also mean moving in a physical direction: 駅に向かって歩く, “walk toward the station.”
に応えて responds positively or actively to a request, demand, or expectation. It often implies that an action is taken to meet what others asked for.
XをYに任せる means to entrust X to Y or leave X up to Y. The person after に receives responsibility or discretion. It can sound trusting, but can also imply that the speaker is handing off a burden.
