Even That Much 别说

他别说跑马拉松了，连五公里也跑不动. This pattern builds from a difficult or unlikely case to an even stronger one. 况且 adds another supporting reason; 更不用说 introduces something even more obvious or extreme.

这本书连我都看不懂，别说孩子了。
zhè běn shū lián wǒ dōu kàn bù dǒng, bié shuō háizi le.
Even I cannot understand this book, let alone a child.
今天即使再忙，也要做完这些事情才走。
jīntiān jíshǐ zài máng， yě yào zuòwán zhèxiē shìqing cái zǒu。
Even if it’s very busy today, I have to finish these things before leaving.
天黑了，况且还下着雨，最好别出门。
tiān hēi le, kuàngqiě hái xiàzhe yǔ, zuìhǎo bié chūmén.
It is dark, and besides, it is raining, so it is best not to go out.
那是一个许多人连听也没有听过的小国。
nà shì yí ge xǔduō rén lián tīng yě méiyǒu tīng guo de xiǎo guó。
That’s a small country many people have never even heard of.
