The committee names Mei 以她为组长 (“with her as the team lead”), then explains why the project succeeded. 以……为…… assigns a role or standard; 因……而…… links a cause directly to its result, especially in formal descriptions.

这个梯子是否足够坚固以承受我的重量？
zhège tīzi shìfǒu zúgòu jiāngù yǐ chéngshòu wǒ de zhòngliàng？
Is this ladder strong enough to bear my weight?
他为我买了一本书。
tā wèi wǒ mǎi le yì běn shū。
He bought a book for me.
运动会因下雨取消了。
