Measure Word for Buildings 栋
The ticket report counts 300 attendances, though some people came twice. 人次 counts visits rather than unique people; 栋 counts buildings, 粒 small grains or pills, 枚 small flat items, and 盏 lamps. The counter tells you what kind of unit the number is measuring.
村里新建了一栋楼。
cūn lǐ xīnjiàn le yí dòng lóu.
A new building was built in the village.
参观人数达到十万人次。
cānguān rénshù dádào shí wàn réncì。
The number of visitors reached one hundred thousand person-times.
该公司今年扩大了生产。
gāi gōngsī jīnnián kuòdà le shēngchǎn.
The company expanded production this year.
