Often 时时
“They checked in repeatedly, but for a moment no one knew what to say.” 时时 looks at a recurring pattern; 一时 can hold a short, temporary moment. And 早晚 often means “sooner or later,” so the surrounding sentence matters more than the characters’ separate meanings.
他时时想起你。
tā shíshí xiǎngqǐ nǐ.
He often thinks of you.
我一时想不起他的名字。
wǒ yìshí xiǎng bù qǐ tā de míngzi.

Sooner or later, he’ll tell me everything.
