No Matter What, It Still Has to Happen例 · 说什么也得先把问题解决

The train leaves at six, and you are catching it. 说什么也得赶上 or 怎么着也得赶上 makes the determination clear: whatever happens, this has to get done. Put the emphatic phrase before 也得, then name the action.

说什么也得先把问题解决。
shuō shénme yě děi xiān bǎ wèntí jiějué.
Whatever anyone says, we still have to solve the problem first.
不管遇到什么困难,这件事怎么着也得做完。
bùguǎn yùdào shénme kùnnan, zhè jiàn shì zěnmezhe yě děi zuòwán.
Whatever difficulties come up, we still have to see this through.
这项工作说什么也得今天完成。
zhè xiàng gōngzuò shuō shénme yě děi jīntiān wánchéng.
This work has to be finished today, no matter what.
Hint · 힌트
Here 得 is pronounced děi and means “have to.” It signals necessity; it is not the result complement 得 pronounced dé.
In Real Life
The two lead-ins sound emphatic. Use them when you want to show resolve, rather than for a small, routine request.
