That’s Why 既然
The forecast has already confirmed the rain, so the picnic is moving indoors. 既然 treats that reason as settled and leads to a next step, often with 就. 可见 looks back at what you’ve observed and draws a conclusion: “as you can see…”
既然雨停了，我们就回家吧。
jìrán yǔ tíng le， wǒmen jiù huíjiā ba。
Since the rain has stopped, let’s go home.
他没来，可见他不想参加。
tā méi lái， kějiàn tā bùxiǎng cānjiā。
He did not come, which shows that he does not want to participate.
“我明天再做。” “这话你昨天就说过了！”
“wǒ míngtiān zài zuò。” “zhè huà nǐ zuótiān jiù shuō guò le！”
“I’ll do it again tomorrow.” “You said that just yesterday!”
