Heading That Way 往
You’re giving directions from a busy corner: 往前走 takes your friend forward; 向学校走 points them toward the school; 从地铁站出发 tells them where to start. The short words before the movement verb give the route its frame.
飞往北京的飞机就要起飞了。
fēi wǎng Běijīng de fēijī jiùyào qǐfēi le。
The plane bound for Beijing is going to take off soon.
我是不会向那些人借钱的。
wǒ shì bùhuì xiàng nàxiē rén jièqián de。
I will not borrow money from those people.
我从她还是个小女孩儿的时候就认识她。
wǒ cóng tā háishi gè xiǎo nǚháir de shíhou jiù rènshi tā。
I have known her since she was a little girl.
