After Doing This 〜てから
You finish dinner, then head out for a walk: ご飯を食べてから散歩します. Attach てから to the first action when you want the order to be clear: after doing this, then that.
Takuya watches the news, then goes to the office.
I make coffee, then read my email.
Hint · 힌트
Plain て just links actions loosely, “I did this and that,” without insisting on order. てから locks the sequence in place: the first action has to finish before the second one starts, which matters when the order itself is the point.
You should make a reservation before you go.
Ever since I first watched Japanese anime, I've loved it.
Hint · 힌트
てからずっと adds “ever since,” stretching the sequence from that first action all the way to now, a common pattern for describing how a habit or feeling got started.
